South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) Safety Improvements Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four, is pleased to provide information regarding the South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) safety improvements project to take place at South Florida Railroad crossings within Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The locations in Broward County include Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Pembroke Road, Griffin Road, Oakland Park Boulevard, Powerline Road, Commercial Boulevard, and Hillsboro Boulevard. The locations in Palm Beach County include Yamato Road, Linton Boulevard, Forest Hill Boulevard, Summit Boulevard, and Okeechobee Boulevard. Project improvements include Installing high emphasis pavement markings to warn drivers and pedestrians to stay clear of the railroad tracks and enhancing the railroad crossing advanced signage. Construction is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 7, 2020. No Construction Open House is scheduled for this project. Public Information Flyers are being sent to public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals that have expressed interest in the project. Attached to this letter is a copy of the Public Information Flyer.
